On-line Ordering Info

OUR ON-LINE ORDERING  OPERATION IS EASY TO USE  AND SECURE

There are several ways you can order on-line, but for everyone’s first visit and order in this shop…

ALL CUSTOMERS (EVEN EXISTING CDS CUSTOMERS ALREADY REGISTERED) ORDERING FROM ANY OF OUR ON-LINE DEPARTMENT AREAS FOR THE FIRST TIME, ARE REQUIRED TO FULLY COMPLETE THE ‘CUSTOMER DETAILS’ SECTION. ONCE YOU HAVE PLACED ONE ORDER USING THESE DETAILS IN ANY OF THE DEPARTMENT AREAS BELOW, YOUR ADDRESS DATA WILL BE STORED IN YOUR P.C. FOR AUTOMATIC USE ON FUTURE ORDERS MADE IN THAT DEPT AREA.

Most of our existing customers already know and use their CDS Customer Numbers to place regular orders, so after their first on-line order in each department area, everything will be as normal for them.

For new customers using CDS for the first time, you need to know that your CDS Customer Number will automatically be assigned to your account when your first order is shipped. The first time you see this number will be when your first package arrives – It’s a six-digit number in brackets at the bottom right hand corner of the address label. Please take a note of this number and store it in a safe place.

For all subsequent orders you place in that department area, you simply accumulate the items you want to order and when you arrive at the shop check out the software will prompt you to confirm that you are happy to use the same ‘Customer Details’ as before (no typing names & address details etc.), and once you ‘ok’ that, just click the ‘Terms & Conditions Box’ (please read these at your earliest convenience). Next move on to the ‘Method Of Payment’ drop down menu and select ‘CDS Customer Number’, then you can print a copy of your order, and connect to the Secure Server where, instead of typing your credit card, simply enter in your six digit CDS Customer Number, your Name and Postal/Zip Code, send your order over the server, and the job’s done. If you wish, you can still select to use your Credit or Debit card in preference to your CDS Customer Number. This will certainly be the option to choose if you are using a different card from your last order. All orders are confirmed back to you with a return e-mail.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WISHING TO SHOP IN MORE THAN ONE DEPARTMENT AREA DURING ONE SESSION, PLEASE NOTE: A SHOPPING BASKET ORDER CREATED WITHIN ANY ONE OF THE 7 DIFFERENT DEPARTMENT AREAS BELOW, MUST BE TAKEN TO THE FIRST DEPARTMENT CHECK OUT AND SENT BEFORE LEAVING THAT AREA TO SHOP IN ANOTHER DEPARTMENT.

Here is the list of department areas that are grouped together.

Each department area has it’s own shopping baskets and check out…

Department Area 1: SYNTHESIZER & AMBIENT MUSIC

Department Area 2: PROGRESSIVE, CANTERBURY & JAZZ-ROCK MUSIC

Department Area 3: PSYCHEDELIC, EURO-ROCK & INDUSTRIAL MUSIC

Department Area 4: ROCK, BLUES & GUITAR MUSIC

Department Area 5: GENERAL, FOLK, OLDIES, JAZZ & WORLD MUSIC

Department Area 6: B-LISTS

Department Area 7: CENTAUR DISCS LTD.

For example: If you want to order a title from the AMBIENT department (area 1) and then one from the PROGRESSIVE department (area 2), you must put the item(s) from area 1 (Ambient) in your shopping basket, go through the check out procedure and send that order, before moving into area 2 (Progressive) to repeat the exercise, or vice-versa.

If you want to order from the AMBIENT and SYNTHESIZER departments, (both in area 1) then these items can be included in the same shopping basket and taken to the check out for that department area.

Again, once an order has been placed in any of the department areas of the shop, you will be able to make use of the memory function when you return to make future orders from that department area.

Your order totals, including postage (and tax deductions where appropriate) will be displayed for checking prior to your order being finalised and sent over the secure server, but you can also keep an eye on your current goods total from the bottom right corner of the shop window frame.

Please note: If you place orders in more than one department group in the same time period, it is possible that the postage costs over the two orders will be less than the cumulative totals shown on your individual orders.
